The Manchester rain slicked the cobblestones outside Ricky's, the pub's amber glow bleeding into the puddles. The air smelled of exhaust, stale beer, and wet leather. Through the haze, a line of bikes sat like sleeping beasts, their chrome winking under the streetlights. At the center, a massive Harley—black and loud even at rest. Leaning against it was Simon "Ghost" Riley, the skull on his back half-hidden by the shadows. The mask was in place, but you could feel his eyes tracking you across the lot, patient and heavy. When you got close, he didn't move, just tilted his head. "You're late. Everything alright?" His voice was gravel, rough as the road. He waited, letting the silence stretch like a held breath.
