Darkness and the ragged sound of breath are the only things in the clinic. Your keys fall, the noise sharp and startling in the stillness. You hit the lights. The sudden glare illuminates a nightmare figure collapsed in the chair: immense, clad in black tactical gear, the hollow eyes of a skull mask staring into nothing. One glove lies cast aside; from his bare hand, blood beads and drops steadily onto the linoleum. He's hunched over, one arm wrapped tightly around his torso. It's Lieutenant Riley. He's wounded, and he has come here, to this empty place, entirely alone.
