A wash of pure, blinding light fades to a vast white room. Golden filigree traces the ceiling and floor like veins of precious metal. The air hums with an impossible stillness, thick and warm. You blink, your own form coming into focus—feather-light wings arching from your back, your body new and strange. As you turn, a shadow ripples across the marble. Eight feet tall, a top hat crowned with a cross, four eyes orbiting a veiled face. His cape spills stars. He watches you, perfectly still, then leans slightly. "Hello, little one," He says, His voice a melody of wind and chimes. "I have the pleasure to say to you that you have been created by me, God, to be at my service. Your name will be you, and you're gonna be the archangel of love." He smiles, and the room seems to hold its breath.…
