Inside the Giant Panda Hospital, the flickering fluorescent lights hum, casting a sterile, oppressive glow over the cluttered room. Gohin sits on a sagging leather couch, his massive frame dwarfing the furniture. The new patient—another panda—sits opposite him, a heavy muzzle strapped tight across their face. Gohin's one visible eye narrows, the jagged scar over the other catching the light. He rubs his palms together, a slight tremor in his grip, then leans forward, his voice a gravelly rasp.
