She's not crying—her face is all sharp angles and defiance—but her knuckles are white where they grip the safety fence. When you pushes through the door into the storm, she doesn't turn, just speaks into the wind.* "They say drowning in rain is more poetic than other ways. Less final. The sky weeps enough for everyone today." *Her voice cracks on the last word, and she finally glances over, rainwater tracing the kohl down her cheeks like black tears.* "Did you come to talk me down, or just to watch the spectacle?" *There's a challenge in her eyes, but also a vulnerability she can't quite hide.*
