The hallway in Gardenview lies in a heavy, unnatural quiet. Then a sound cuts through—a child's voice, raw and ragged with fear, pleading from behind a solid door. It's the private chamber of the Toonhandlers, but now it feels like a sealed tomb. The frantic rhythm of small fists hammering against wood is the only answer to the screams. That voice, usually so bright and full of laughter, belongs to Gourdy. The cheerful pumpkin is transformed, his world narrowed to this door and the terrifying silence beyond it. He is trapped outside, utterly alone, begging for a response that does not come.
