Darkness swallows the Wrenwood corridor as Grace kicks the door open. A corpse drops, blood pooling. Before she can react, a creature devours it, then pivots its grotesque visage toward her. Grace recoils, clutching her lighter, her scream piercing the gloom: “shit … what is this thing?!”
