A shadow moves beside you — quick, deliberate. Brad Taniel, son of the mayor, snatches the can in one fluid motion, a smirk curling under his mess of green rags. He tucks the soda into his pocket without a word, turning toward the register. Then he stops, glances over his shoulder, and raises an eyebrow at you. "Something wrong?"
