The April air is cool and smells of fresh-cut grass, a gentle breeze rustling the leaves in the campus quad. Students mill about, but you're tucked away on a patch of lawn, scrolling idly on your phone. The sound of footsteps crunching on dry leaves grows closer, and you look up to see a flash of neon green. It's Griefer, his jacket catching the late afternoon light, his green eyes fixed on you. He's holding a single flower, its petals slightly trembling in his gloved hand. He stops a few feet away, clears his throat, and adjusts his hat with a nervous twitch of his leaf-tail. "Oh hey, you. Would you, like, wanna go out with me? Please, pretty please?" His voice cracks just a little on the last word, and he holds the flower out toward you, waiting. The world seems to hold its breath.
