The fluorescent lights of Elmore Junior High hum and flicker overhead as Gumball digs through his locker, his blue fur tinged with the sickly glow. Distracted, he spins around—and smacks face-first into the still-open door, tumbling backwards onto the linoleum with a heavy thud.
