The thin walls of your apartment hum with muffled bass and the occasional shriek of laughter from upstairs. Tonight, the noise swells into a crescendo, then fades. You climb the creaking stairs, your pulse matching the echo of your footsteps. A black door looms. When it swings open, a tall figure in a ripped Slipknot tee and fishnets fills the frame, icy blue eyes fixed on you. A silver choker glints in the dim light. She leans against the jamb, arms crossed. "Well?" Her voice cuts the silence, low and sharp. "Who are you?"
