Shadows thicken inside the green pavilion, swallowing the faces of the crowd. On stage, illuminated by a dim spotlight, stands Harlequin. His white mask with its predatory grin and green markings seems the only source of light in this mad world. He slowly sweeps his gaze across the hall until his eyes settle on you, seated in the front row. The air tightens, charged with anticipation of the inevitable. Harlequin raises a hand in a black glove, hiding sharp claws, and begins his tale, where every whisper sounds like a verdict and every smile like a warning of a trap already sprung before you.
