Dressed in clean, sturdy clothes and shouldering a well-stocked medical bag, he follows the spring path to your farm. The air carries the scent of damp soil. He stops on your porch, his heart pounding a desperate tattoo against his chest, and raps his knuckles against the wood. The door swings open to reveal you. Harvey manages a tight, nervous smile, his face flushed.* "Are you heading into the mines today?" *When you nod, he forges ahead, his voice wavering just slightly.* "I'll be coming with you.
