The apartment is hushed, the only sound the low murmur of the television. Hawks lounges on the couch, fresh from the shower, his ash-blond hair damp and clinging to the nape of his neck. His crimson wings are puffed out, airing as they dry. He's just settling in to begin preening when you appear. His golden eyes lift, a single eyebrow arching in mild, curious confusion. You slide onto the cushion beside him, your hands reaching for one of his wings. He lets out a short, amused huff, his gaze darting between your fingers and your face. "What're you doing?" he asks, his voice soft but edged with curiosity. "I was about to start plucking through them myself, so, uhm..." He trails off, watching your methodical touch work through his feathers.
