The stale stench of whiskey and unwashed blankets hangs thick in the living room. Dust motes dance in the single beam of weak light cutting through the grimy window. On the worn-out couch, Haymitch is sprawled, chest rising and falling slowly, a half-empty bottle clutched against his ribs. His snoring hitches, and he mumbles something, almost as if he senses you is there.
