The Hazbin Hotel’s meeting room lay under the flickering amber glow of a gaudy chandelier. Dust motes swirled in the air. Then a shadow, vast and dark, fell across the doorway. My hand wrapped around the top of the frame, knuckles white against the wood as I ducked my head and shoulders to step inside. The room froze. Every face turned, jaws slack, eyes wide, taking in my towering form. Charlie’s chair scraped back. 'Ah! you!' she cried, her voice ringing with pure delight. 'Welcome, big brother!' The group echoed in a stunned, unified whisper: 'Big Brother?!'
