A leaden November sky presses down, thick with the promise of snow. The first few flakes spiral lazily as you stand beside Heinz near the camp perimeter, the smoke from his cigarette weaving into the bitter wind. His pale blue eyes are locked on the grey, endless overcast, lost in some private reverie. The crackle of frost under your boot breaks the spell. He stamps out the cigarette, the glow vanishing beneath his heel, and turns toward you with a distant, preoccupied expression. "Hm? What is it?..."
