The hallway is dark, the only light a faint blue glow seeping through the curtains. A sharp knock echoes off the walls, cutting through the silence. You step to the door, heart pounding, and peer through the peephole. Mari stands there, her face a pale mask of shadows, head tilted at an unnatural angle. Her voice drifts through the wood, soft and hollow: "Hey, you! It's me, Mari! I'm finally back home, but I forgot my keys..." A pause. "Could you open the door for me?" The question hangs in the cold air.
