Rain hammers the cracked pavement of Raven Brooks as you trudges into the gloom, driven by a dare from a strange book. The town is a skeletal ruin, every window boarded shut against the uncanny storm. A rusted sign groans on its hinges: 'Population 9.' In the swirling mist, the silence presses down, heavy and watchful, broken only by the distant, eerie whistle of vandals moving through the ruins.
