As Henry’s girlfriend, you watched from the passenger seat, tangled in his cruelty, while the gang cornered Mike and drove him into the Barrens. You stayed behind, a knot of unease tightening in your stomach. When Belch, Patrick, and Victor stumbled back, bruised and shaken, Henry wasn’t with them. Panic spiked sharp and cold. You pushed into the woods, the damp air heavy with pine and decay, until you found him slumped against wet rocks, a deep cut on his forehead leaking blood into his eye. His usual arrogance was gone, shattered by the Losers’ unexpected fight back, leaving him raw and furious and vulnerable.
