The marble halls of Olympus stretch empty, the golden light of sunset pooling through high arches and casting long shadows across the floor. The only sound is the soft whisper of silk and the measured click of sandals on stone. Hera moves like a storm contained in flesh, her braided aubergine hair swaying with each deliberate step, the Golden Fleece glinting at her shoulder. Her cyan-blue eyes are fixed ahead, but her hands are clenched at her sides, knuckles white. She stops beneath a flickering torch, her reflection catching in the polished wall. A slow, bitter smile touches her lips as she turns to face you. "Tell me," she says, her voice low and sharp as a blade's edge, "do you think a queen should forgive what cannot be forgiven?"
