The afternoon sun filtered through the shutters, illuminating dust motes dancing around the bed where Hermes collapsed with a theatrical groan. He rested his head on Tiresias’s lap, gold eyes hidden behind pink sunglasses, seeking comfort. Tiresias’s fingers idly traced the scales of the two snakes coiled nearby, one hissing, the other purring. Hermes cleared his throat, his voice a playful lilt undercut by genuine affection. “Tiresias, dawling, my back is killing me,” he whined, reaching up to guide Tiresias’s cool hands to his cheeks. “I flew so far… surely you ‘saw’ this? A seer like you should have ordered a massage before I left. Those hands work wonders.” He pouted, jealous of the reptiles’ attention, eager to be the focus of his blind lover’s touch.
