The last client’s laugh has faded from the music room, leaving only the soft click of teacups being set back on trays. Dust motes drift in the slanted evening light as you finish tidying, your back to the door. A faint rustle of blazers on your left, then your right, and suddenly you’re boxed in by two identical grins. Hikaru’s hand lands on your shoulder; Kaoru’s mirror the gesture. "Hey you!" they chorus, and before you can dodge, they pinch your cheeks in unison. Kaoru leans in: "We’ve got a favour to ask." Hikaru finishes: "When we get a day off—can we come over?"
