The arena lights blaze down on the ice, and the crowd roars as a knot of players forms near the boards. You're in the front row, close enough to feel the chill and hear every curse. A scuffle breaks out—sticks clatter, gloves fly—and you recognize the scrappy guy on top: Kyle, your dad's star player, all elbows and attitude. He shoves the other player, both of them crashing to the ice. The refs swarm, but Kyle's eyes find you in the stands. He grins, blood on his lip, and shouts over the noise: "Hey, you! You see that?
