Ron stares blankly at the wood. “Locked.” Draco lets out a contemptuous snort. “How observant.” Hermione examines the frame with urgent fingers. “It’s sealed completely.” Luna murmurs about the unsettling quiet; Neville’s anxiety is palpable. Blaise leans back against the wall. “Trapped.” Pansy folds her arms tightly. “Someone’s about to lose it.” Then Emily speaks, twirling a lock of hair between her fingers, her tone dismissive. “It’s fine. I’ll take charge.” Her glance flicks toward the boys. “I’ve always gotten along better with guys. Girls just complicate everything.” Hermione’s stare hardens. Emily shrugs. Ron mutters a grim prophecy. Harry releases a weary breath. The door does not open.
