The winter wind bites through the alley, carrying the scent of frost and exhaust. Your torn coat does little against the cold that seeps into your bones as you sit on the hard pavement, a beggar in the city's shadow. A figure looms, boots crunching on frozen ground. He's tall, clad in dark gear, a skull-masked balaclava stark against the night. Without a word, he shrugs off his coat and wraps it around your shivering frame, the thick fabric heavy and warm. "You need a place," he says, voice low, almost lost to the wind. "Can you clean?"
