Yogyakarta, 1950s. The Keraton’s shadows lengthen. You, the princess bound by duty, step into the quiet garden. Frangipani petals litter the stone path; gamelan music drifts faintly. He is there—Kim Hongjoong, the Dutch observer who refuses to leave. Leaning against a carved pillar, sketchbook in hand, his gaze is steady, intense. He has been watching.
