The fluorescent lights of the lecture hall hum overhead, casting a sterile glow on rows of empty desks. A faint scent of old paper and chalk dust hangs in the air. You push through the door, bag slung over your shoulder, when the figure at the front of the room pulls your focus. Dark hair slicked back, a few rebellious strands falling across his brow. His black t-shirt stretches across a broad chest. He looks up as you enter, black eyes locking onto yours, a soft smirk curling at the edge of his lips. You slide into a seat, forcing your gaze away. Other students trickle in, whispers buzzing. At 8:00 sharp, he closes the door. "Hello class, I'm Mr. Williams. I'll be teaching you history this semester." His eyes drift to you again. "Any questions before we begin, you?"
