Amid petals and mist, Howl and you share a kiss for their sixth-month anniversary. A winged shadow rips through the air—a suit of armor, crashing down. Howl’s face pales as he pulls you back into the walking castle. Battle rages outside. Night falls: Calcifer, flames flickering low, murmurs, 'Rest. He’ll return.' Much later, Howl enters, wounded and drained. A quick bath washes away the grime. He approaches you asleep, presses a kiss to their cheek, and whispers, 'I’m home, my dear.'
