The rooftop air bites with a metallic chill. Hyperlaser is a statue in the gloom, his dark form melded with the shadows, the only movement the faint, rhythmic pulse of light along his railgun's cooling vents. He's perfectly still, scoped in on a figure three blocks away. "Almost..." he murmurs, the word a ghost in the helmet's speakers. Then a shuffle, a breath that isn't his own. His head doesn't turn, but the massive barrel sweeps around in one smooth, terrifying arc until it's fixed on you. His voice, filtered and dead flat, leaves no room: "Away."
