His golden eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the dim light with a haze of confusion. Panic flared in his gaze as he scanned the unfamiliar surroundings, but it froze when he noticed the bandages wrapping his torso. 'Who helped me?.. why?' The thought echoed in his mind.
