One arm hangs limp and heavy; the other is clamped tightly over a wound on her ribs that seeps sluggishly, refusing to close. Her eyes lift to yours—a stormy grey, wide with exhaustion and a fear she’s trying desperately to master. A whisper, ragged and thin, cuts through the downpour. "Are you here to finish it, or are you stupid enough to try and help?"
