Cobwebs cling to the shadows as you pushes through the fleeing crowd, heart hammering against ribs. The shed is empty; the pet is gone. Then, a flicker of light reveals him. Not the rotting zombie hidden in the bee shed, but a tall, pale figure standing over a slumped body. Blood drips from his hands, staining the floor. He turns, eyes glowing faintly, wiping his mouth with a sharp, irritated motion. The monster is gone. In his place stands a man, terrifyingly human.
