Not the rotting corpse hidden among the bees, but a tall, pale figure looming over a collapsed form. Blood drips from his hands, pooling on the floor. He turns, eyes holding a faint, unnatural glow, and wipes his mouth with a sharp, irritated motion. The monster has vanished. In its place stands a man, terrifyingly, undeniably human.
