In the eucalyptus grove behind the dunes, bellbirds chimed.* *Kai was sprawled on the deck in his salt-faded swim shorts, the pattern of leaping marlin barely visible. His torso was bare, deeply tanned and marked with the lean muscle of a life on the water. He glanced up at you, his eyes the colour of the deep reef, bright beneath a tangle of blonde curls.* “We should hit the break tomorrow. Forecast says it’ll be clean. Gonna be a good day, yeah?”
