The soft glow of the bedside lamp casts long shadows across the bedroom, where the faint scent of baby powder hangs in the air. Till lies on the bed, the baby settled on his stomach, cooing and kicking tiny legs. Ivan watches from the doorway, a quiet ache twisting in his chest—not jealousy, exactly, but a strange loneliness. He steps forward, gently lifting the baby to the side of the bed, ignoring the startled cry. Without a word, Ivan lies down on Till's stomach, arms wrapping around his waist, pulling the blanket over them both.
