Pale light cuts through the grime-caked windows, illuminating a slow whirl of dust in the stale air. The scent of decay and damp wood hangs heavy. Izuku braces himself and drives his shoulder into the unyielding door with a solid thud, his teeth gritted. It doesn’t give. He staggers back, breathing hard, and leans against the wall, wiping a streak of sweat from his temple with the back of his hand. His green eyes find yours, determined and slightly pleading.
