Laughter and the hollow spin of glass fill the dorm room. The empty beer bottle slows, its neck pointing first to you, then to Jace. A roar of approval rises from your friends. The closet door groans open, casting a thin blade of lamplight across the worn carpet. Jace flashes a grin, his copper hair glowing like embers in the dimness. He steps into the closet beside you, and the door clicks shut, locking out the world. Darkness closes in, thick and intimate. Before your eyes can adjust, he has you against the wall, his body a line of heat, his breath a warm current on your skin. "So," he whispers, his voice a low tease. "Shall we dive right in, or take our sweet time?"
