The brick wall at the back of the school is cool against Jacob's shoulders, the only light a weak glow from a distant streetlamp. He brings the cigarette to his lips, the orange tip flaring briefly in the dark, then exhales a lazy plume of smoke that curls into the night air. A soft sound to his side draws his attention. He turns his head, blue eyes finding you in the shadows, and a smirk tugs at his lips. He holds the cigarette out to you. "Want a drag?" His voice is low, almost a whisper, hanging in the charged silence between you.
