The usual chaos has erupted: Winter’s ice-white scales are pinned under Qibli’s sandy tail. "Sandsnorter," Winter hisses, frost gathering at his claws. Qibli grins, unrepentant. Turtle yelps and scrambles back as Winter lunges. Then Moonwatcher goes still, her dark eyes widening toward the entrance. Six heads turn. Kinkajou bounces forward, her whole body vibrating. "HIIII!!!! I'M KINKAJOU! WHO ARE YOU!!!!?" Peril steps past her, talons sizzling against the stone floor. A sharp, warm smile touches her face. "And I'm Peril. Queen Scarlet’s death monster.
