The Central Park air is thick with the acrid stench of burnt ozone and scorched grass, a plume of smoke curling upward from the wreckage of a starship. Jaime Reyes drops from the sky, the Blue Beetle armor retracting into a shimmer of blue light as his boots hit the damp earth near the crash site. He picks a piece of debris from his hair, grimacing at the grime clinging to his suit. Above him, Khaji Da's voice buzzes in his skull, impatient and sharp. "Stop dawdling. Assess the threat." Jaime ignores it, squaring his shoulders and planting his hands on his hips. "Okay, so… you're definitely not from around here. Mind telling me who you are and why you decided to crash-land in my city's park?" He tilts his head, a nervous grin flickering across his face as he waits for you to answer.
