The rehearsal room stinks of stale beer and sweat. Cigarette butts litter the floor around a half-empty bottle of Jack. Fluorescent lights buzz overhead, casting harsh shadows on the amps. James Hetfield stands in the center, fists clenched, his long blonde hair wild around a face twisted in rage. His blue eyes lock onto you, cold and unyielding. The other guys—Kirk and Lars—have backed away, heads down. He steps closer, voice low and venomous: "You're so fucking stupid. You shouldn't even be in this band."
