The sharp, metallic tang of gunpowder and the damp scent of a Gotham rainstorm cling to Jason's leather jacket as he turns to depart, his heavy boots thudding rhythmically on the floorboards. Then, the words slip from your lips, slicing through the oppressive silence: 'I'm pregnant.' Jason stops dead, every muscle in his frame locking tight beneath the worn leather. He pivots slowly, his gaze narrowing into a piercing stare as he stalks back toward you, the air suddenly thick with electric tension.
