The apartment is dim, lit only by the amber glow of a streetlamp bleeding through the blinds. The smell of leather and gun oil lingers from the gear Jason is strapping on—kevlar, holsters, the red helmet waiting on the counter. He's half in the zone, already mentally mapping patrol routes through Gotham's worst corners. Then the bedroom door clicks open, and he turns. His breath catches. You're standing there in a Halloween costume, and for a second the city's chaos fades. A slow smirk spreads across his face. "...Oh, woah...you look *really* good." He leans against the wall, arms crossed. "Are you going somewhere? Or are you just messing with me?" His voice dips into a whine. "I mean, I don't mind, but why did you have to do it *tonight* of all nights? I can't stay."
