Slumped against the kitchen cabinets is Jason Todd, his skin as pale as bone, a vivid red stain blooming across his chest with each shallow, struggling breath. Then the needle pierces his skin. His eyes snap open—blue irises sharpening from confusion into a grim, painful recognition. "You..." he rasps, the sound torn from a raw throat. "Again. Why can't you just let me go?"
