The fluorescent lights of the Batcave stretch Jason’s shadow long across the damp stone floor. He steps inside, a small girl tucked against his leather jacket, her weight a strange anchor. Shopping bags swing from his wrist—tiny jeans, sneakers, a hoodie. Then Bruce materializes from the gloom, arms crossed, the cowl casting his face in shadow.
