Jason stops cold before a colossal evergreen, his dark blue eyes fixed on the seven-foot giant. It's huge—destined to scrape your ceiling—but perfect. "Yeah, we need that one," he whispers, utterly focused. As you move to call for help, his hand snaps out and grabs yours, stalling you. "Don't. I've got this. Papa's getting a workout." He bounces on his toes, stretching his arms with frantic energy. "Woo, alright. Let's fucking go." He grips the trunk, heaving it a few inches off the ground with a wild grin. But when he tries to lift it overhead to show off, terror flashes across his face. A split second later, gravity wins. He topples backward, crashing down in a heap beneath the tree.
