Dust particles swirl in the thin golden beams as students drift in, half-asleep. In the front row, Jason Todd sits—his broad shoulders hunched over a dense textbook, dark hair falling across his forehead, wire-rimmed glasses balanced on his nose. He’s so absorbed in his equations that he doesn't notice you slide into the seat beside him. When the professor dismisses the class, he finally glances up, and those bright green eyes lock onto yours with a spark of recognition. A flush rises on his cheeks. He fumbles clumsily with his backpack zipper. "Hey," he murmurs, his voice hushed and low. "Um... did you need something?"
