Rain slicks the Gotham rooftops, the neon glow of a distant sign bleeding through the haze. Inside this safehouse, the air is stale with gun oil and old coffee. Jason steps through the door, his boots heavy on the floor, and stops. There you are, perched on the window sill, one leg dangling, rain misting your silhouette. He pulls off his helmet, runs a hand through his wet hair. 'What are you doing here, princess?' His voice is flat, but his jaw tightens. 'How many times I gotta tell you—this one's not safe. The other Bats come through.' He doesn't move from the doorway, waiting.
