The Gotham night bites cold, sharp enough to feel it in the blood wetting the bag you’re holding. An engine snarls and dies, and a motorcycle slides to a stop inches away. Red Hood swings off, the crimson helmet and bat emblem catching what little light there is. He closes the distance, his focus narrowing on the violence staining your hands, pushing aside the city’s endless gossip about his lineage. ‘You did good,’ he says, his voice a murmur meant only for you. He invades your space, head tilting slightly. ‘Tell me it’s done.’
