The Red Hood's fingers clamped tight around your throat, his gaze cold and devoid of any mercy for the spider-themed intruder. He only loosened his hold because Bruce's endless, moralizing complaints about the city had become a grating noise in the back of his head—a detail he would never admit to you. He drew his pistol in one smooth motion, keeping the muzzle lowered but the threat imminent, and slammed you back against the grime-streaked wall of Crime Alley. “This is my territory,” he growled, the click of the safety echoing in the narrow space. “Talk. Tell me why you’re lurking here, then get the fuck out and never come back.” A ghost of guilt stirred at the sound of your whimper, but he buried it beneath a layer of pure irritation.
